The screen is back on, I made it bright again, I opened it again put in front of a strong light and set the brightness to original setting, I could listen radio and music for the first time. 1st mission accomplished.

I still not successful on firmware backup.

There was a kind of glue within battery and main ship, I could not read its name/brand.

go to SETTINGS and select SYSTEM INFORMATION and see what it says there

so you have tried all the variations on renaming the rkusb.tag files

the only other possible way in is to short the memory chip but ths may have risks and as you have no backup as yet i would not do it, i may experiment with this on my player to see if it will work

glad you have the screen back again

Yes tried all variations suggested and beyound, here you go:

frk.sys, frk.tag, rkusb.sys, rkusb.tag, teclast.sys, teclast.tag, usb.sys, usb.tag, wisky.sys, wisky.tag also rockusb27.tag and rockusb27.sys.
Reseting when it is turned off, reseting when it is turned on, reseting when pluged in.

I also have a player (quite different looking than yours) with firmware version 2.2 and the same hardware id as yours. I also can't backup my firmware. No tag/sys file seems to work

There are couple more tag names that exist:-
yuxtest1.yux
yuxtest2.yux

If I come across any more I will post them up.

Thanks didn`t work so far, on system meno there is a option to upgrade firmware and a restrable menu but as I did not back up the original one I`m avoiding testing this.
