Default Tadad's WMP11 Theme for 1.5"

Ok, so I've extracted my own firmware and made an extra copy. I then edited the firmware with a static start menu which didn't look really good when it was on the player. I decided to look for a pre-made mod and from all on the forums, I liked Tadad's theme most: http://www.mympxplayer.org/dload.php...eec04f7b77fd87

However, the file does not have any extension and cannot be opened by the editor 2.0. Does anybody have the bmp for it in 24bit? I've read the comments and several other people have had the same problem with no solution. Tadad hasn't been active apparently for about a year =\

I don't get it, why do people release their mods with a funny file format with no extension, further more why release a mod that practically nobody else can use unless they have that specific mode?. Why don't you release the 24 bit bmp files?

edit: Now I tried: http://www.mympxplayer.org/dload.php...eec04f7b77fd87

And I realised the player cuts in image into 4, with 3 needed images. 1 At the top, 1 in the middle and 2 on the sides (same side bar). Is there anyway to change this?

http://rapidshare.com/files/161137594/dump.bin.html

Btw the images don't line up evenly to top and bottom, as in there's a black space between the top and image image, as well as the middle image being slightly higher than the 2 side bars, which i presume is the same one!

Another thing... Mine aren't ordered the same... this is so confusing =\ Just spent 4 hours sorting this out... Lol I should be doing homework.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Being the impatient one I am  I decided to go a different route, create my own theme! Oh wow it's 1am already, I 'think' I've learnt how to mod, at least the basics. Well any suggestions will be grateful, I hope to finish all the menu in a similar style and create my own end/start menus (imageshack effects + split frames works?) Umm by then, I hope somebody can help me with the vista theme for the menus and music, etc.

Yup I know its not centred, but I'll try my best to fix this up tomorrow... Any easier way for 100% precision?

I give up on my own theme

This is a really old thread that contains the theme and talk but I do not wish to necro a 2 year topic!

I was wondering though, I have firmware 3.35.5 which is apparently the same as the author and I have my own backup file of my own firmware. Is there any dangers associated with using that firmware? Also there's no file extension to it, just Firmware. Can anybody help?

No, there is no danger, v3 devices can always be recovered and there's plenty of known working firmware around.

Just add a .bin extension to it and flash it. If anything goes wrong, you have a backup.

Uhh it just got bricked =\

edit: False Alarm.... The player didn't turn on or off for awhile (1-5mins) but I then went out to get screwdrivers and after unscrewing the 2nd screw the player magically turned on!

It it possible to change the font? It comes with a large picture file with squares, and letters contained within each 1. Uhh, also what about the loading screen before the custom 1? Its like blue with a yellow hour glass.

The initial loading screen and the font cannot be changed, at least we don't know how to.

As I thought the player had been bricked, I did part of the tutorial (opening up the case), now every time I insert the headphones in the jack it resets. But afterwards its funtioning, then if I push the headphones in deeper it resets once again. Even if they're fully in and I place my index and thumb on the headphone and player it resets. The screen is also wonky now haha!

Bad soldering. Take it apart and redo the soldering on the headphone jack.

I opened it up and got a cotten swab and wiped everything... now works perfectly, even the screen is more straight.
