XONIX game in rpk-format

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys,

I wait for your feedbacks :)

WIZARD 12th Sep 2009 8:26 am

Xonix

It's the FIRST game which was developed for Rockchip by enthusiast !
(if don't count the Snake modified for big screens)
Despite the very small size in Kb, it's awesome !
Much more interesting than Snake and HeadSpace.

There're some problems: I can't get a bigger level than 19
by pressing the M button, and also my score becomes 0
when get to next level.

Thank you very much !

Nice one sig11. So it's the first game ported, I'll try it out! ;)

Hot Game Secrets:

1) How to easily challenge high levels (such as 15) :
create this fly traps:
http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/4045/traps.jpg
and you'll catch all the green dots !
2) Why you can't use M button to get further than 19'th level :
with "Trap" tactics you'll be able to get higher than 21'th level;
because of the big amount of green dots game will become unstable
and you'll see crazy green dots eating your white dots
even in the best case you'll complete 1-2 levels.

:)
How much levels you need?

WIZARD 17th Sep 2009 4:28 am

Maybe 50 levels, or, if it's possible, unlimited.
It would be funny to create "fly traps" vs huge army of green dots

Hi guys,

Any chance someone posting a screenshot of what the game looks like etc...?
Unfortunately my Rockchip player is LOCKED so I can't install any additional games on it :( - would have loved to try it out too!

knob 25th Sep 2009 10:38 am

btw here's how Xonix looks on my player!

sig11 has produced a demo of Wolf3D!
It has very good smooth 3D graphic, frame rate is 5-6 fps (that is very good for a small player btw)

Games are much needed for rockchip players

Who knows how to set the optimization of the speed in the command line?

I got the error:

sdspI

I think you should try to get the new sdspI version or change the system (and maybe BIOS) time to 2005
(changing the time is easier :( )

P.S. Maybe this link would be useful (something about sdspI and LSI and ZSP):
pastebin - collaborative debugging tool

The idea with the time - is excellent! Probably I have grown old if have forgotten about this way :)
Thanks WIZARD!

About Wolf3D v0.2

I've tested the new version of Wolf3D :
there weren't any freezes or crashes, and the framerate (5~7) is awesome! :o
Gun and doors are working; lift doesn't work (maybe because it's 1 level) and soldiers' AI is disabled.

Yes, but the soldiers do die if you shoot them!
I have been in every room and it worked perfectly, I tried to use the lift too, can't wait for all the features to be completed :)

Привет всем! Благодаря прошивке от SWIRL с форума W A S M .

knob 8th Nov 2009 8:26 am

Привет Тимон
Не уверен, если бы sig11 хотите освободить от источника.
Может быть, sig11 бы сделать версию для экрана 220x176 тоже!

hi timon
Not sure if sig11 will want to release the source.
Maybe sig11 would make versions for screen size 220x176 too!

WIZARD 9th Nov 2009 11:27 am

Wolf3D v0.3

I've tested the new 0.3 version :
FPS can't be 60-80, there's an extra zero after the Real frame rate.
So, FPS is equal to 6-8 - very good improvement in perfomance if consider that now there are a lot of nice objects
Also I've noticed that the gun was fixed (you kill the enemy only if you shoot to him Not near him)
And soldiers don't allow you to walk through them :)

knob 9th Nov 2009 12:01 pm

I have tried Wolf3D 0.3 out. It's getting more interesting now, closer to a playable demo, I've being around collecting nice objects and increasing my score.
I ran out of bullets, looked around but couldn't find any to reload. :)

WIZARD 30th Dec 2009 10:32 am

Wolf3D

Any news about Wolf3D ?

WIZARD 12th Feb 2010 6:00 am

Please

Hello, Sig11!
Please, if you don't have time to continue these projects,
share with us the stuff that you have
(your rockchip emulator - http://ypokhilko.vn.ua/apps/123.jpg and some game sources - Wolf3D and other)
maybe we could continue the development process and don't let them to die.
