Can anybody make emulator for rockchip games?
just like Visualboyadvance
If can, It will be awesome! :) //// sorry,, I thought an emulator running on MPx players (so I wanted to change the name of this thread, but can't) |
It is possible to do now. We do have the source code for a .rkp launcher, problem is there are no members with the programming skills needed that are interested in making one.:(
It is a good idea though. |
May be I can write :)
Now my emulator/debugger can run only HelloWorld.rkp , but I work on this when I have a free time. http://ypokhilko.vn.ua/apps/123.jpg |
hmm,, sorry for lack of my English..
I thought emulator running on MPx player. other formats -> rkp format player(?) Maybe it's hard to make it.. but once made, we can play all kinds of game made for other formats in MPx players! if it's compatible.. like *.gba files and mame and so on. Then this will save times making other games. The emulator for rkp is also awesome Anyway thanks for replys. :) |

This looks awesome already, good luck with this, it would be a big help for us trying to port games to this format.:) |
I get what your saying but how would that work out,Making a GBA,MAME emulator would be a waste of time because there are not enough buttons to use to play a game on a Rockchip player.

Games
loanstar744,
I don't think that my player don't have enough buttons to play in console games. For example, most of Sega Genesis games don't require 6-Btn gamepad, only 3-Btn gamepad, and my player has all the necessary buttons (7) Here's my player: Soundbreeze Mp-401 - MyMPx (UP,DOWN,LEFT,RIGHT, AB stands for A, M stands for B, >|| stands for C; however, the player don't have the separate button for START/PAUSE, but it's possible to implement the "holding" algorithm : if hold C button for more than 3 seconds, then START/PAUSE) But there's one BIG problem: not all of the Rockchip players have the same number of buttons; maybe your player has only 5 (or 6) buttons. :( |
@WIZARD
Yes I see,but most people don't have more than a 3 button MP4. My MP4 is a Rockchip 2.8in Touch screen which might actually be able to play NES,Genesis,GBC, Because it has three buttons on the bottom and if someone could impliment a code for touch screen movement it would, allow for D-pad movement with the Touch screen and use the bottom buttons for A/B and maybe start. I wouldn't want to stop someone from the idea,by all means go ahead,I think it would be a great idea,and a great learning experience. Im just saying it probably wouldn't work for most people :( BTW you've got a really nice player. |
Maybe someone can port something like rockbox on one of these players
