Default Need some help with changing theme on a Rockchip MP4 Player

So I got myself a Rockchip 3.0' 16GB MP4 Player and I want to change the theme on it(it looks really ugly).
But I'm not really sure how, so I've got a couple of questions.
1. I have no idea what model I have. I had a look at the information on the player and it just says the model is RK27(very vague) and hardware ID is RK27XX. Is there a way to find out the specific model number?
2. From looking at all the guides to changing the themes I gathered that I need to backup my firmware. How do I do this? Where can I find the firmware file(s)?
3. How do I go about changing the theme? I didn't understand the guide that was posted in the knowledgebase.

Do this first.

Firmware Extraction for new Rockchip RK27xx series players.

Ok, I've backed it up twice so what do I do next?(I've got a nice looking theme I want to install which is in a .bin format) I tried using the LogoDIY app to apply the theme but it asks for an rfw that isn't present on the hidden partition.
This is the theme I want to install:http://mympxplayer.org/mtmpx-theme-df87.html
I'm not sure if it's compatible with my player or not.
I found out also from the pictures in the firmware download section that mine is a Rockchip RK2708B DXT VX748.

LogoDIY is for modding old Rockchips, you need this:-
Download

open and edit BMP0.bin with it.

Good Luck

So I tried that app you posted and for some reason I can't find a theme that's got the right size. I tried importing individual icons etc. into my players BMP0.bin but it kept rejecting them. I tried several different themes and they're all giving me the same problem. Are there any themes that actually work with my player?

Andarthiel, I have a thread how I modded my player, it was years ago but it worked it is the odler model of rockchip I used to mod, but you can use the same way for yours. Try to click on my username and find the thread, or use the search. I think I have explained it prety well, but I cannot help you if you are not good with english! Good luck! And read a lot! I did it myself with lots of reading! and very few questions!
