Default AIGO players...any insight?

Greetings all,

I've been lurking these forums for about a week now and have been delighted at the wealth of information you all have provided.

I've been fiddling with a couple of different aigo players attempting to mod them to no avail. Although I can find similar chipsets here and there, i can't seem to find very much documentation or firmware files on these particular devices.

--aigo MP5 PM5985

chipgenius report:

Device Name: ++[F:]+USB Mass Storage Device(PM5985 MP5 PLAYER USB Device)(PM5985 MP5 PLAY...

PnP Device ID: VID = 07C4 PID = A4A5
Serial Number: 5&&ACCB944&&0&&6
Revision:

Device Type: Standard USB device - USB2.0 High-Speed

Chip Vendor: chinachip
Chip Part-Number: JZ4732

Product Vendor: (N/A)
Product Model: (N/A)

my main goal is to just change the on/off animations on this device. i've found and used to anigen tool to make my desired animations, but i can neither extract the firmware from the device (apparently the general understanding is that this cannot be done with any jzxxx chips), nor find a stock firmware to modify. The same goes for another aigo device:

aigo MP5 PM5978

chipgenius report:

Device Name: ++[F:][H:]+USB Mass Storage Device(PM5978 USER USB Device)(PM5978 SD USB Device)

PnP Device ID: VID = 071B PID = 3203
Serial Number: 00000000
Revision: 1.00/1.00

Device Type: Standard USB device - USB2.0 High-Speed

Chip Vendor: RockChip
Chip Part-Number: RK2608

Product Vendor: (N/A)
Product Model: (N/A)

although this is a rockchip device, the hidden partition cannot be viewed with the standard methods of drag and drop (rkldset, rkusb, etc, etc). With the help of this site I've managed to modify two other rockchip players (non-aigo) without a single issue, so this stubborn rockchip is quite puzzling...

All i want to do is modify animations for these devices without killing the native functionality. I would try to just wing it and try to flash some other similar firmwares, but with no means of backing up the stock firmware OR being able to download a stock firmware, im at a standstill.

Any help or direction would be much appreciated

thanks
