EM861 Mp4 Player - FW update - menu Mods?

Hi, Iam new here,

I have a question, to my EM861. Em861 Mp4 Player from Yifang Digital Technology Co.,Ltd,Em861 Mp4 Player supplier

I would like to know if I could update the FW. I heard something about that the hardware is similar to other MP4 Players.

What is about the Rockchip? Is there a rockchip in this player? Or which Chip is in my player?

Can I add games to the player or selfmade apps? Or what are the possibilities to Mod the Player?

Sigmatel or old Actions chipset. Probably not Rockchip. Post the firmware version found in SYS INFO menu to make sure.

That would be ALi M566x. Very little is known about them.

I found a article http://www.ciao.de/Auvisio_Street_Beat__Test_8305779 and the User says there that this EM861 is from Yifang Digital and there are other Models too and there is one Yifang Model that is hardware identical to a MP3 from another brand. So you can completely mod this Model by the firmware from the other brand,

But he dont say which brand is it. Any ideas?

PS: I use a prog. called Factory4. The player was detected sucessfully. But if I select the Test function, and run the test it says "No firmware code!".
Do I have to dump the code first? How?
