One more suggestion, though not necessary.

Is it possible to allow guests to use the chat feature of this site? Whenever I come to this site, there's about 15 guests but hardly any registered users so it's hard to find people to chat directly.

The forums themselves are very helpful but if more people use the chat feature, people can help each other instantly.

i feel more reviews about new mp4 players as well as old ones which havent been reviewed will help new users a lot to know more about their mp4 players as well as help people looking to buy one.

i also feel making the forum more user-friendly as in lifting some restrictions like new users not being able to rate posts for 7 days would make the users feel more comfortable with this forum

Reviews, reviews, reviews.
I came here originally looking to learn all I could about a nano clone I bought my daughter for xmas. I learned alot.
Now I want one for myself, I am not finding anywhere near as many reviews for the different players I have seen out there.
Possibly add a section just for reviews, a place where the reviewer can post pics, tips, and their overall experience.
Make it a section to review both players and vendors.
Just a thought.

Thanks for your input.
I will try to get together a [Reviews] section on this site where people can contribute.

My suggestion, after opening 4 A/V players, is too start connecting the dots with firmware.

What I mean is that we connect the firmware downloads with version, screen size and board ID numbers (meaning open them up). Maybe include the actual chip used (not the memory chip).

The firmware sections somehow need to be standardize in some way.

The 2 I have examine are 1.5 screens and have the same firmware version, but different board IDs. I think this why some people are having problems resurrecting their players. I haven't attempted to swap the firmware yet until I examine them some more. On the outside they are identical, inside layout is different.

Just a thought

Id sugest making the registration process less demanding as i feel this will encourage more users to test out the system and get into like it better , there is always alot more guests than registerd users.
Also a box to the left of the site near advertisments ect to allow quick acsess to login... Perhaps even a larger registertion link near it.

These should be easy to implement in a pre-built forum like this.

EDIT: By less demanding i mean less field to fill in and not so many reuired things... Make it optional or remove them entirley so later if they wish users can add these details.

Hi kangaroo,

You should definately be able to post in the forum. You just did your post here .

Where is it that you can't post and what is the error message?

I see you have already posted a few messages already.
