Poll: How do you rate the performance of our new site?
 

Hi all,

A simple vote to see how you rate the performace of the new site - www.mympxplayer.org?

We have moved away from the old shared hosting from GoDaddy.com to a fully dedicated server hosted by Webair.

The server has the following specs:
P4, 3.0Mhz
1 Gig RAM
80 Gig HDD


This should be plenty to make the site run quite nice and quickly but I would like to hear your feedback on it and whether you think it's faster than the old mympxplayer.com site, the same or worst?

I hope that this site continue on line.

The only thing I have noticed is that when I first come to www.mympxplayer.org it hangs a few seconds like it doesnt want to load the website but then it kicks in and loads. This last only maybe 10 seconds at the most. I have a fast 6.35 Mbps download speed which is equal to a T2 Connection. So the lagging sure is not on my end. But once it loads I have no more problems and the site seems to be quick loading then. :wink:

So I would say out of a 1 to 10 I give it a 9 and a half!.

Compared to before it had many problems. Maybe give the old site a 5 out of a 10.

I noticed that too.
I think it might be due to the photo album loading four pictures at once.

Glad to see the rest of the site loads fast for you. It's hard for me to tell as the server is in the States while I'm in NZ so we're going to be slower anyway.

ur new site is gr8!!! Same thing here, Australia doesnt have really fast internet, max is adsl2(24mbps) n thats only available in some areas. I have 512kbps.

I noticed that tha thing on tha side saying who is online has moved to tha bottom of the home page. It would really be nice if it could be in tha side again.

Rating: 10 out of 10 (tha only and tha best mpx site eva!!!!!!)

I think this is a great site 4 newcomers into the mp3's Ive learnt a lot by just reading the answers 2 the many problems you get sent. Keep up the good work and thanks a lot, sincerely Laurence

I don't really know about your old site...'Cause I'm new here :roll:
BUT I must say that I'm totally agree with skyline.gtr.tg about the only and the best mpx site!!!
(Now I know so much more about my mp3/4 player :oops: )

The navigation is simple and fast enough for me :lol:

The only minus I can think of is the uploading process, cause I get sucessful everytime but I can't see my file on the dl list.. :(
I'm told that you need time to check for virus and verify, but it took days, so I used host site as tadad1 said...
Anyway it seems like only I get that kind of problem... :wink:

never saw the original site but have found this site and it's admin and members to be very helpful and friendly to those of us that are not as technologically gifted.
