Digital Camera MARS - 3 inch TFT
Well I received my prize from the Lucky Draw today.
First impressions- Very nice packaging, and all items that are shown in the pictures on Uxcell's site were in the box, along with a fairly decent user's manual. Being in the US, the AC charger is useless to me as it's for Europe. I must charge the unit through the USB. Took about 2 1/2 hours for a full charge. Has a removable battery (will use the Nokia battery like the glacier). The picture quality is very good. Haven't taken but a couple at the 12 Megapixel setting and they came out pretty good. They seem the same as the 3 Megapixel, just larger. Takes decent video, but it's motion JPG not true video. It will play in media player on your computer but try and edit in Adobe Premiere and you have a bunch of JPGs. Voice recorder works, but not that well. It has a built in low quality speaker. Ok here is the not so good part. This is NOT a media player! I will say this again, This is NOT a media player! Now to clarify. It will play the audio you have recorded from the voice recorder It will play the video you have recorded from the camera in video mode. It does not have a headphone jack. It has a 3.5" jack on it, but that is so you can hook it to a TV and show your pics and recorded video on it. I plugged in headphones and all they did was hissss, sound came out that little speaker. I have tried multiple converters (including the one on the disk) to try and get video to play on it, and the same with audio. All you get is a file error. Overall, as media player, forget it. For use as a digital camera, I recommend it very much. |
Thanks for the review lddrizzt1.
It's nice to hear you like your digital camera. If you can, perhaps upload some photos for us? Maybe some photos of the camera? |

Ok you asked for pics so here are some for ya!
This is the box after I unwrapped it. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1DSC01134.jpg Took off the cover and opened the box and this is what I saw. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1DSC01135.jpg Here is the camera with all the goodies. (I forgot to include the leather pouch, it's real leather and holds the camera nicely). http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1DSC01136.jpg The front of the camera. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1DSC01137.jpg The back of the camera (it's turned on giving all the info for pic taking, this can be turned off if desired.) http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1DSC01138.jpg Here are a couple of pics taken with the camera: Outdoor shot @ 3 MegaPixel. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1PICT0007.jpg Outdoor shot of a brick wall using the Macro feature (my first camera that has macro). http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1PICT0010.jpg Indoor shot of my morning doughnut using the Macro. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1PICT0005.jpg I tried to take a pic of the screen with a pic on it, but it kept coming out blurry, but here is the best one so you can see the screen size. (the leather pouch is along side of it) http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w.../1DSC01140.jpg There ya go! like I said in the first post, this is a nice camera. |
