Default onda vx525 alternative reviews

Let me 1st say this will be my first review and i will do i more in depth review with photos if this all goes well. I saw this little gem on a few sites so i ordered from a well known site. after clicking the paypal pay button I saw that I bought the 2 gig version (darn it ) So I over paid for this one no big deal I figured I could sell it or give it to my son . Well as I waited for it to arrive I started seeing bad reviews on it which made me worry about my overpried 2g purchase. ordered on the 25 of dec got it on the 6th of january not bad ( by the way I made a different order from a competitors website and it is still not here ) I opened the box . 1st very professional could easily be stuck on a walmart shelf somewhere. I normally carry a creative labs vision m so this thing is like a feather to me . The player itself feels sturdy and well made.

Ok the power button (which by the way will put you back into the main menu if you need to return in a hurry .
Nice display . for ppl with big fingers I recommend the stylus ( it does seem to respond better to that, although I do jump back and forth between that and just pushing it .

Music: as we know it comes loaded with a entire album of music (which I deleted promptly and stuck some podcast ,music and howard stern) please keep all comment to yourself about stern I love the show. The speaker sounded fine loud enuff to be in your car listening to it while you drive.
Headphones cheap put sturdy may switch them for better ones later

Movies: well with only 2g i had to be selected so I put a flv clip on it and a 600meg avi. Flv did not play at all but the avi which was a action one did not stutter and stayed in sync. I assume u will have a 50% percent success rate with movies unless u convert them immediately.

The Games: some are cool some are very lame I would delete the lame ones but they are in chinese .

The photo viewer: Nice if you have photos and you like to show them off you can resize them and rotate them . great for comic books. plus you make one of the photos your wallpaper.

Pro: small size
when videos work great compact movie watcher
expandable with micro sd cards
firmware updates (go onda !!!!)
great sound from outside speaker
conversation piece
has a cool safe disconnect button if connected to a pc, just push it it and will safely disconnect the player from the computer but keep charging.

Cons:
Battery life could be better ( needs more testing after a full charge)
finding which videos work
find swf that can play on the small screen

Ps: check back for updates if interested in tale of the 2g vx525 or the story of the big little touch screen
