The S:flo LITE (as the normal S:flo) is a very good looking player, small and portable, capable to reproduce a huge type of digital formats of video and music.
There is an extended list of good things about the player. It has a very nice UI, with few funny features. The “turn of the page” in the E-book reader just made me smile all the time!
The Screen (with 2.8”) is almost like the normal S:flo. Here you’re just running out of the dynamic scroll and multi touch, but the image quality is as good as the normal version. The touch screen stills very responsive on this one.
This player can be customized with different wallpapers (even your pictures can be used), you can set background and font color, font size, etc. You can set them to fit with your backgrounds. Really helpful!
The guys from Mp4Nation’s forum are really nice people, doing lots of themes that you can easily use in your player. They give you full support to any question about whatever you want to know about the players, too. That’s a really important thing, because if something goes wrong with your player you can get it fixed without the needing to send it back to the store.
I’m not the guy who likes to be listening FM, so, I cannot say anything about, but just that it worked well when I made a test.
The TV Out function works perfectly. I was lost in the way to turn it on, but Raz and the guys from the forums helped me with that… Quite easy: Plug it into the TV and play a movie. Then, just put the on/off switch to left for 1 second and the image will appear on TV. And if you touch the screen you will have the controls. To go back to the player’s screen, just put the switch to left for one second, again. Shame on me! :P
For those who like to stay listening to music the whole day, this player is not so perfect (again, as the normal S:flo), because the battery just give you something around 10hrs of playback. Normally I can use it for the whole day, and at night I put some video to drain the battery to charge it again.
The Wolfson 8987 Audio Chip is missed on this edition of the player, but the RK2706 have a good quality audio. Comparing both at the same time I can say to you: Just the best ears will note the differences between the players!
I’ve notice that this player does not have a bug in the E-book reader, like the normal version, so, is not that hard to read your books on it. You can use whatever font you like! On the normal player, only the small font will work properly.
I don’t know why, but the nice carrying case that was supposed to come with the S:flo and S:flo Lite wasn’t inside the box. Instead of that case, I received a Mofi. Not that bad, but the S:flo case is much more stylish!
Raz and the guys from
www.mp4nation.net are doing a good job choosing the best players to Nationite brand. For now, I’m a full supporter of this brand. Let’s see what the future will bring to us!
The S:flo LITE is a very nice player. I bought it to give as a gift, but now I’m giving the normal S:flo to my little brother. The LITE version won the fight! Better E-book function, TV Out function, almost the same quality audio and less headache to learn how to use dynamic scroll… lol.
