This is my review of the 4GB 2.6" TFT Touch MP4 Player from Tinydeal.com.
Full specifications of the player can be found here: $26.03 TinyDeal - 4GB 2.6 Touch Screen MP4 Player with PC-Camera DV FM Price: $26.03 (why the .03 cents, I'm not too sure). Very good price for a 4GB MP4 player that's for sure! Delivery: I got an email with full shipping details when the player was sent out to me which is a great idea. It's always good to have an idea of when something you've ordered has been sent and also you can track it on the delivery company's website. It was deliveried by registered mail but as I wan't home at the time, was left with a card to go pick it up. http://mympx.org/forum/attachments/r...01-package.jpg http://mympx.org/forum/attachments/r...2-contents.jpg Player: The player itself is very light. The outer casing looks very nice and looked like a full metal casing. Unfortunately it wasn't. Would have been nice if it was a metal casing similar to the iPhone for example. The player has a lock feature which means you can lock it once you've start the music playing and put it in your pocket without having to worry about accidentally pressing on any buttons. The player has an external TF card reader so you could potentially increase it's memory capacity with it. The Touch Screen is not as fast to respond as I would like it to be (compared with an iPod Touch for example) but it still works fine. I had some slight problems getting it to register my touch press around the edges of the screen but that could be from the screen protect film that's causing it. The button towards the bottom of the player comes in handy as the 'OK' click button to quickly click on something. http://mympx.org/forum/attachments/r...m_tinydeal.jpg http://mympx.org/forum/attachments/r...ydeal_back.jpg http://mympx.org/forum/attachments/r...nydeal_top.jpg Video Playback: Video playback is pretty clear on the screen. You can rotate the video from landscape to portrait if you want. If you set the correct resolution for the video file (320 x 240), it will play in full screen quick nicely. Music Playback: Music playback is good too. Plays all the normal audio files so nothing to really add to that. Photo display: Images/photos playback accepts most file formats too. You can also rotate the image from landscape to portrait as well if you want. Camera: Images taken from the built camera wasn't all that clear. Resolution is 1024 x 1280. I've attached two images taken with the camera to this post. While the size is over 300KB, the resolution and quality of the photo is not great at all to be honest. But then again, I wasn't expecting it to be great hi-res photos from a $26.03 player. http://mympx.org/images/mp4_player_f...l/AK000003.JPG Video recording: Again, not the best quality with the built in camera and I've attached an example. Maximum quality recording is 640 x 480, 25 frames per second and bit rate of 129kbps. Don't expect to do full HD recording with it that's all. But if you want to just take simple videos with it, it will do just fine. Sample of video recording: Sample of video file recorded by this player Games: Player comes with some basic games. It's difficult to play though with the touch screen and no hard buttons to press. The buttons are on the touch screen but they are small and difficult to navigate. It would have been nice to have the tilt sensor (accelerometer) that the iPod touch has as that would be great to play games. I'm not sure on the format of the games so not sure if you can add additional games to the player. I'll check with Tinydeal on the details of that. Video Review: Here is the Video Review of the player that I made especially for this player: Conclusion: For the price of $26, this 4GB, 2.8" TFT screen MP4 player from Tinydeal is a great value player. It's a nice little player bundled with a lot of features - built in camera, video recording, movie and music play back. It even has some games to keep you busy. The player was sent to me very quickly and I was sent an email with information of the delivery of my player. The screen is clear and external speakers sounds fine. Built in camera is a basic camera and just average quality. Menus are clearly labelled and easy to use. If you are after a well priced MP4 player with good features, this is a good player to choose. If you have any questions, let me know. Your feedback is welcome. |
