Hi, have you tried turning it on? There is an on/off switch on the side closest to the screen. Try turning it on then connecting it.

If it won't turn on, check to make sure the battery is there...

I have this player from Tinydeal and it works great, holds all 8GB (though I paid 99.99 since the price was just lowered). In fact I just yesterday placed another order from them for the 4GB card...

A small note, I was able to get Tetris working after watching MP4nation's video review of THEIR version of this player, all that is needed is to briefly push the player's power button to the on/off...

Hi, the only software that came with the player was ConsumerUpdate and just a few different versions of AVI Converter. It was on a mini driver CD-R. I think all of this stuff is readily available...

considering it came from Hong Kong to the US east coast in 8 days....
