My player is different from yours but since they use the same chipset then I think it will work. I have emailed you the firmware. Please let me know which one works so that I can upload the correct...

My mp4 didn't work. It showed the hourglass icon only so I fixed the partition and used the upgrade tool. After that, my pc can detect it but nothing shows on the screen. I tried different firmware...

I've managed to open it now. The screw was at the back, covered by a QC sticker.

I got the 8GB player so it should actually be 1GB right? But after formatting it, I ended up having a 233MB player, meaning it is actually a "2GB" player labelled as 8GB. Double con at one time....

I tried the recovery guide again, this time on the opposite side of the chip and once the screen flickers, it's one smooth ride... Player's up and running and now i can try fix the other...

nothing happened when i crossed the pins. Do i have to connect any random pins together or are there any specific pins to be connected? I'm starting to give up and try to fix another device...

I tried to follow the recovery guide with no success. I can turn on my player but I can only see a blue screen. Windows did not detect my player.

The label on the chip says:

I recently got a '8GB' mp4 player as a gift. Couldn't get it to work properly so I formatted it and I ended up getting a 256MB player. Problem now is that I can't turn it on but my PC can detect it...
