What's weird is that although this firmware came from my player, when I try to load it back in, it doesn't work. I can't explain.

This is a nice player, but it's really annoying that I have to hold in the V button before using |<<and>>| to adjust the volume. Are there any players similar to this one that have separate volume...

As for TV out cables, I've seen two different kinds. They look the same, but they are wired differently. I would hope that any A/V cable you got with the player would be the right one.

I tried this same thing with some other firmware from a similar player (don't remember which one now), and it did work OK -- sort of. The "M" and the arrow buttons don't do anything -- but I believe...
