Never try to change the firmware! Believe me, you have big chances to brick your player and finding firmware for sunplus is really really hard... I tried to change mine with 10+ firmwares so far and...

My player does exactly the same thing.. It's because Sunplus firmware is poorly made. No matter what quality/frame rate/bitrate/container you choose, after 30 minutes of video playback, the player...
