Sorry if this has been posted, did a few searches but didn't see it.

The headphone jack on my wife's iPlatinum (the iPod nano-esque one) started acting flakey, only putting out mono.. sound...

OK i was able to suss out the problem.

Here's the situation. Versions 3.57 and 3.58 don't support the 160x120 format that the i-Platinum screen uses. You can convert it to a lower setting, say...

More than likely he's using v4.0. I actually came in here to ask the same question :)

From what I've read, v4.0 doesn't allow you to make any changes to the quality settings for whatever reason.
