To add several files at once, checkmark the "auto add to batch box" just down from the green add file bar on the left side of the main settings page ... then set conversion...

mjjgirlie: Your player is likely OK. Desynching is a common complaint with XVid irrespective of the conversion program used. I've used various ones but my favourite is viDrop which you can find above...
