well, I had the same problem, but I have a rockchip but on a 1.8 video screen, I tryed different avi converters and the only one that worked was version 1.1, here is the link if you wanna try...

I got my mp4 player with rockchip and could't get the videos to work, I tried first 2 versions of the cd that came with my player and didn't work, of course I tough that I have to use the lates one...
