I have the same issue with my 2 GB Nano Clone, but the weird thing is that I only get the "ypX ypF" file names displayed on one podcast that I regularly listen to. All of the rest of the file names...

Most Rock Chip and Action players I know of are Linux compatible, as long as the music formats aren't laden with DRM and thus require "special" firmware to use, such as Apple's iPods... :P

I also recommend a Rock Chip player. Most have screens at least 2" and many have SD card slots. MP4 Nation has a good selection of them in varying price range.
