Thanks for the advice. I actually ordered one of those players from Tinydeal through ebay rather than the website since shipping was free that way. It should be here within the next week or so.

I managed to get in touch with the seller through the email address registered with PayPal. Upon testing some of the inventory he found that some players were genuine while others were indeed hacked....
