i think the input jack has been damaged,you can resolder the jack and then it would work fine atleast in my case it did work.

no i am not in hold mode indeed the hold mode button was working fine for me but i have flashed it with wrong firmware so now the screen has become white but i can hear sounds by pressing buttons...
