Sunplus chips are hard to recover if something goes wrong, i should know i killed mine trying to do the same thing you are wanting to do and now it's just a $20 paperweight and it's not even that...

Hi all

A while back i saw a guide on mympxplayer for telling if your player had hacked memory and had some steps to what to do about it, i cant seem to find it now anyone know where it mite be?

Make sure there are no drivers needed or anything like that maybe on a cd supplied with it?, if not try it on a different computer preferably try it in the rear usb slots as they are powered better....

Hi are you sure it is Sony pmp because allot of china pmp's have faked Sony brands.

Do you have any pictures of the player, have u opened it up to see what chip is inside, if not i suggest you do,...

i can now use the device for about 20 seconds and the pc can browes it's folders but i cant get the isp tool to detect it to put a different firmware on it, any...

Hey thanks for you idea but i be leave that there are no other problems with it because it all worked fine until i accidentally updated it with the wrong firmware. i have had some improvement with it...

Hey i have a sunplus pmp player and i upgraded the firmware but now it doesn't work, i found the original firmware for the device but my pc can't detect the player and the pmp player does nothing all...
