I don't know what OP is looking for, but I noticed Focalprice.com has begun selling many branded MP4 players. I have bought stuff from them without problems (although no MP4 players yet).

Guess where the single vote for the vx575hd came from. Primarily because of the 2800 mAh battery, not because of the sc8600.

It is my considered opinion that sellers are too lazy and/or...

I don't use Microsoft products (including .doc files) and I won't use anything that might endanger a clean room implementation of open source tools. There's enough information available in the form...

240 MIPS versus 704 MIPS: why bother with the ARM :-)

I think I found (http://www.fs2.com/lsi_download/Zsp-Getting-Started.pdf) a few ZSP500 opcodes:

That's the data sheet I was looking at.

W.r.t. the MMU, I hoped the rk2705, being newer than the rk2706, would support virtual memory. But still a superscalar (4-issue) DSP with 8-stage pipeline...

To be certain it's a ZSP500 we should be able to find 32-bit instructions. ZSP400 (or rather, the ZSP G1 instruction set) only has 16-bit instructions.

I haven't...

I think I found the 40 dollar player that was mentioned. The good thing about the site is they add the chip type to the description of their players and a search for jz4725 actually results in a...

Some people here reported they got an Ingenic jz4725 chip player while expecting a Rockchip version.

For me the question is, how to be certain of getting one or two cheap jz4725 players to...

Yeah, me too. Trying to download my first jz4725 firmware, but you need an invitation code now.

Can I talk someone into uploading jz4725 firmware here?

I have been unable to find any so far...
