I'm more interested in knowing if it could be modded or upgraded to the...

So It's a black PMP Mp4 player with a 2.8" screen and silver buttons.
Also called a PSP Mini I think.
There's some things I can't figure out:
-The speaker is always on even with headphones...

Re: Video chop??
I noticed this on my amv’s but I know why it’s done, and for a fairly good reason. Your common TV aspect is 4:3. your player screen is 3:4. Apparently there’s a way to encode the video rotated 90...

Re: smv problem
I think it's a nano clone. The 1.8” screen is slightly clearer as it’s slightly more resolution.160X128 is full screen and rotated 90deg on the player for proper TV aspect. The 1.5” amv had more...

I found smv encoding goes faster if you use a tool like virtual dub to resize the AVI screen to 160X128 before encoding.

Here’s my ratings
• Looks – 8.5
• Functionality – 6
• Reliability - 7
• Price – 9.5
I’ve had two 1GB MP4 players now and I’d rate them close to the same. The first was a 1.5” screen with the...
