Then I guess I'll better leave it as it is and not risk corrupting the firmware then I would be far off worse.

If you are connecting to PC via USB connection and display of player simply shows player and PC with zzzzzzz in between, then you may have the same problem i had.

I'll give it a try with s1res. I assume that I will need to extract the firmware by means of s1clone which I already did, but what file extention do i need to give the firmware...

hi scatwell, thanks for your feedback, unfortunately this player seems to only support LRC. That was why I was wondering if there is a way maybe one can change the default fonts of the player itself.
