have you read the dead player recovery guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-player-recovery-guide-vt567.html im not sure its worth sending it back it may cost you quite a bit more that in it...

there is a 4.07 version in the download section, try that or if that doesnt work try an older version 3.70. thats all i can suggest but maybe tadad1 can help more

the sd card is a standard card and you can get a 2GB on ebay very cheap, as for the player it is very good, i have two.

i had a problem like that and i put the dump file on C: drive "not in a folder" then loaded it and it worked

no, i go through all the recovery stage then load the full firmware then try to load the dump i made.
as far as i can see when i open them both they have identicle parts
