I have what looks like the exact same player I turned it on for the first time in about 3 weeks and it let me go to the system screen. I managed to find the software version before it whitescrened...

Hi Folks,

I have taken apart my MP4 player and had a look at the inside to get all the numbers/letters out (much to my wife's disgust, no faith at all!) And I have found:

Chip
ATJ2237T,...
