Thanks for the advice i tried both suggestions but neither has made any difference. The player is a 512mp mp4, it doesnt say the make, but i put it from hong kong from a buyer called FLASH on ebay.

CANT TURN MY MP4 PLAYER ON
I am unable to turn the player on. If i plug it into the charger i can turn it on, but the second i remove it it turns off and wont let me turn it on. Any ideas please?

I downloaded the smv converter, and the player now seems to recognise the files as they appear in the movies fiel, but when i try to play them it says file format error. Am at my wits end with this.
