Flashed back to original waterlilly firmware which seemed to fix the problem. Flashed again to the modded f/ware you sent me and for some reason, it now selects folders as it should.

Don't misunderstand - your mods are not the issue. Just letting you know firmware is original.

I am just confused and annoyed as to why the player refuses to recognize the selected...

Yes is the answer. I see two folders under "menu", select the folder I want and hit the play button but selection does not change.

Could this be firmware or formatting? Disc is formatted as FAT....

I am having a problem with my 2GB 1.5" nano clone that I hope someone can solve.

I have created 2 folders containing different genres of music in the player's default "playlist"...

Reformatted size = 2GB. Interestingly, reformat using the HPUSBFW tool did not show true size, again displaying 4GB. Unconvinced, I used the CheckUDisc tool which confirmed 2GB.

USBInfo and SiSoft...

I am now in receipt of my second (i.e replacement) hacked 4GB nano clone from EBay seller products_foreign.

Using the tips and tools found on this website, was able to confirm the unit was 2GB...
