Just for future reference, I managed to sort of resurrect the player by using the NTG-1 firmware. All the menus are reversed, like if you were looking them through a mirror, and the images do not...

The player is no longer under warranty... And the manufacturer doesn't want to send me the original firmware.

Anyway, I have tried the neonumeric ones:
Firmware for NTG-1 with no FM...

I have a Best Buy Easy Player PMP Flash, based on the Sunplus SPCA536 chip (without camera or fm) and I uploaded the wrong firmware using the tool included in the CD, so the player died.
