Ok i have figured what was goin wrong. Its actually a problem with avi video files - and since i only ever have and access .avi files in my mp4 player i thouht it was the mp4

I got my mate to take it and try it on his PC along with his USB cord.
And now its working fine for me, with my usb cord and computer. Now i can finally use...
