files became invisible! need help.

while my mp4 is connected in my pc. it hangs (hour glass). then after i minute it resume working again and when i open it the files was gone!. i look at the files in my computer and its gone.

ofcourse i explore it, i just bought my mp4 a while ago. so minutes of exploring and i end up in the mp3 disc tool partition....
