Can I reset my mp4 to its factory default?

I can´t turn up the volume of my generic mp4 and i was wondering if there is a way to set it back to the conditions it came when I bought it, without formatting or firmware uploading.

Hi,

I have a Vios mp4 player mp44v1001 and it had been working perfectly for almost 4 monts. I put more songs in it, and when i unplugged it from the computer the languaje had change to chinesse....
