No, I believe for lithium ion batteries (and maybe also the lithuium polymer batteries), you should charge often; and not wait until it discharges. You can find out about this at battery university...

Customized outer skin idea- Nano design project
I was thinking about modifying the outside of my player; but taking the real iPod Nano and printing that onto a piece of transparent skin/plastic; so that I could stick that on top of my Nano copy....
