Its now looking like it my be a battery issue...
Its now looking like it my be a battery issue with my player. It cut out this morning after playing 5 songs, I charged it and it started again. Its a new player, are there many issues with batteries...

So if I upgrade with the latest Sigmatel STMP3500+ series chip it will work?

Ok, i've tried 3 different versions of MP3 utilites and none of them recognise my MP3 as connected, Windows does.
When I start mp3 ut's I get this first;
Error Message...

Update: i've formatted the player, reinstalled the firmware and its been playing for a lot longer now without stopping, except for when i turned it off and on again to chack.
