I think I was shammed. the player should have 4gb flash, it has only one memory chip. the chip itself is a SAMSUNG K9K8G0; which has 1GByte capacity according to this page *click*...

first, sry for the broken link and the missing board number. I corected the link, so now you can see that it's really 42mm which is 1.65"
