Default rockchip avi conversion vs. amv conversion

can you play a full length movie on a rockchip player (converted to avi) like you can on an amv player? Ive seen some rockchip players that are pretty nice but ive always assumed they cant play full length movies (but i must be wrong)? thank you for any assistance.

Rockchip players can play full length movies. They come in 1 or 2Gig size with sd memory card slot to expand to 4Gig. The video screen is usually lcd instead of led. The video is much sharper and cleaner than my AMV players. Screen sizes vary but are usually larger than AMV. I have a 2" screen and they also have 2.4" and larger. But I feel if you go larger you might as well just buy a DVD player!
Overall I much prefer the rockchip player. It is very easy to convert videos, and as far as I know have never had a hacked memory problem.
The only negative I can think of is the screen brightness but that may just be my particular player....

amv is good but i dont prefer watching full movie on that small a size (128x128 or 128x160).

so yeah amv is cool but only for music videos or something short

hey guys thanks for the responses. I should have been more specific with the answer i was looking for. sorry about that. as far as the small screen i have the glacier so i have a 2 inch screen which is definitely nice. I guess my question is what would (for example) a 2 hr movie compress to in avi format while amv format compresses it to roughly 350-400 meg.

mark_1078 , i'm not sure about the rockchip players, but are they using divx codec for .avi?

I have a Teclast T29 which reads divx coded .avi files for video. I've converted a number of videos for the 2" screen, and a 1.5hr movie usually ends up at around 180MB.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
