problem with default folders

Bough iWin 757F 1GB job sort of nano like looking player from ebay. The sw on this thing is a total pcs of crap. For example I'm unable to change music folder. Regardless where I place the new folder (root or inside audio) the player refuses to accept it. That is from stop mode in MUSIC go to menu, select local folder, mode again, than select a desired folder, than mode again which takes me inside that folder showing only one item (backslash) when you hit mode again it takes you one step back. Also unable to delete files, when single delete, no file list is presented for selection , when all it executes some delete, but nothing gets deleted. What the f...

BTW thr instructions were written by an idiot here is example

ENterr the moving disk and set the file catalog in the state of computers connecting. Music mode, record mode, play mode which set the corresponding lonely catalog of which three modes don't combine with the same catalog. WHAT THE FU.. DOES THIS MEAN ?

Hi,

Sorry, not entirely sure what you mean by your email here.....

What I'm getting is that you are trying to add folders in MUSIC so you can categorise your music in folders? The problem is you are unable to see the music files in those folders? Is that right?

Pressing the "Mode" button is like the "OK" button, whereas pressing the "Play/Pause" button is like the "Cancel/Go Back" button.

I've seen a number of poorly written manuals out there already. To be honest, I don't even bother reading them as it's too confusing!

Let me know about those questions.

was confusing I guess. Look if you have access to this (or similar) player
http://mysite.verizon.net/directore/iwin.htm let me know what your dir structure is. As I tried to explain I'm unable to change "local player" folder which with those player having no ipod like capability to select anything else makes them rather unusable.

Here is my top level dir structure:

[emac:/Volumes/UNTITLED] jmg% ls -la
total 320

Hi directore,

Sorry about this, but I'm still confused about your post.

What I'll do is (once my camera is charged), I will take some photos of what the file struction on some of my MP4 players from within Windows and post it here. Will that make it easier?

Can you do the same as well?

Sorry about this, I'm jus ttrying to clear up the confusion.....

Re: problem with default folders

you don't have to take any pictures. What I need is somebody with a player that uses the same fw 3.5.35 to simply list names of folders in exact order they appear on player screen when you select LOCAL FOLDER in music mode. That's all.

That list should start with

ROOT

Hi,

I think Vinh has the same player as you do.

Here is his post yesterday - http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=59.

Check it out and maybe get it contact with him and see if he can tell you the names of folders in exact order they appear on player screen?

Hope that helps.

Hi directore,

I have the same fw on my MP4-Player and I had the same problem. I found that having repeat set on anything other than "normal" can cause problems trying to play specific folders.
Now it works. Select the folder with the "Mode" button and then press the "Play" button.

Re: problem with default folders

exactly the same problem. from menu i press on "select local folder", then i can easily navigate through MP4's filesystem, but when i try to select the folder i want to listen to...simply i cant! pressing play has no effect and after few second ill get to Music Mode with old folder selected

i like my ipod clone (it was so damned cheap), but i really need to organize all my mp3s in folders, otherwise is fuc*ing messy!
