How to Use MP3 Player Utilities 3.68

I need your help guys. I have downloaded the MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 in an attempt to convert my mpegs to AMV and I have no idea how to use the application. I am not as computer savvy as some of you guys are. The download resulted in folders with files in it. Each file is either a read file or a file that asks me to install/repair/remove the current version of the MP3 that I have. How do I use the application? Thank you.

EBJohnson,

Have you installed the MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 yet?

If you look on the left hand side, click on "Knowledge Base" and there is an article called "How to: Convert to .AMV using the MP3 Player Utilities 3.68". This will show you how to convert to an .AMV file for your player.

Link: How to: Convert to .AMV using the MP3 Player Utilities 3.68

Hope that helps you out.

I don't think I've installed it. Or maybe I have. All I have is a folder that was downloaded called AMV_Convert_368. In there there are a lot of files. Many are in different languages. The one in English installs the MP3 Player Utilities but all that appears is another folder entitled MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 - no application. There are folders in there 1. AMV Tools, 2. RDiskUpdate 3. RDisk Utility 3. SoundConvert 4. Window98Drv. Then there are two files: 1. DelDrv and 2. DEVCON. I don't know what to do at this point. Let me know. Thanks.

Re: How to Use MP3 Player Utilities 3.68

EBJohnson,

Please take a moment to read my last post. There it suggests you go to the knowledge base - "How to: Convert to .AMV using the MP3 Player Utilities 3.68".

Have you taken the time to find that knowledge base and follow the instructions on there? It will step you through now to convert to an AMV video file.

The folders you mentioned in your last post are the folders that get installed as part of the MP3 Utilities install. Everything is accessable from the [START --> [Programs] menu. You will find an item called "MP3 Player Utilities 3.68".

But please do take the time to read the instructions.

Hope this helps.

Binh,

I want to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for all your efforts in trying to get me through this process. I also want to apologize for my ignorance. I understand now what you were asking me to do the problem I have is that I have no idea where to look for the "Knowledge Base." You said look on the left side. My problem is I don't know on the left side of what. Everything that I opened up from the start menu does not have that "Knowledge Base" you speak of. Sorry. Please help.

Hey EBJohnson,

Sorry, I mean the "Knowledge Base" on the left hand side bar is actually on our site - mympxplayer.com instead.

Here it is for you anyway: http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=32

Follow those instructions, hope it helps.

Thanks again Binh. Okay, I attempted to follow the directions but for some reason clicking my settings button yields nothing. Even putting the cursor on it does not yield the name of the button. It may be that I had opened this page already in an attempt to convert without instructions and I may have ruined the settings (although I did not do anything with that button; in fact, the settings are still at 0.00). Please let me know what I can do to correct this. Thanks Binh.

To get into the Settings, you have to click and select the video file that u wanted to convert in the area where the columns say "Select | File Name | The new audio file... | Status | Time".

Sorry I didn't write back sooner. I've been away from home and could not go on. Binh, I've followed those directions. The settings are preset to 000. It does not allow me to change it even after I've put in the file. I was able to convert a file but could not adjust the settings. Do you know how to adjust the settings? Thanks Binh.

What "settings" do you mean when you say "settings are preset to 000"?????

Send in a screenshot if you can.
Following the instructions on how to convert file to an .amv file, which step was it that you can't do??
