Sorry, I haven't replied, I've been testing it myself.
I've tried using Telbook versions 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 but I can't get the .bin file to be read on my MPx player. It either comes up as "no file" or "file error". Are you getting these messages too?

Where did you get your TelBook program? Mine's came from the original cd with the player, but that doesn't even work. :(

I will try to find out some more from mp3 manufacturers and see what I can get from them.

I finally got my telbook working. :lol:

What I used was TelBook version 1.0 to do this. The other two versions (1.1 adn 2.0) didn't work.

I added the entry, then press the [save] button.
Then I copied the file directly into the root of the player.
Then from the player, chose "TelBook" menu, press the "menu" button, then chose "import". Then it worked! :).

Depending on your player, you will have to try differing version of the TelBook program and also try renaming it to the same file that is produced when u do an 'export' of the telbook from your player. It's worth a try and hope it works.

I have also tried all of the above with my VL-547 and I still can't figure it out. I don't know what my player would name an export file because I can't import anything, therefore I have nothing to export.

It still doesn't detect that I have a TelBook file. Too bad.

I have uploaded Telbook versions 1.1 and 2.0.
Try download them, create an entry, press the [save] button so it creates a .bin file. Then upload it into your player, import from the player's menu and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, then you might have to try renaming it. But that all depends on the error message. So let me know of the error message you're getting.

The reason why I asked about exporting from your player is that mine's had a sample telbook entry. Ok, it was for the Police in China, (very useful - not), but it let me export it so I knew what the exported file was.

What is the error message you're getting when you try to import the telbook .bin file? I've uploaded versions 1.1 and ver 2.0 as well, give them a go and see if that works on your player.

I have tried all three programs and none seem to work with my VL-547. The error message is "No Tele File" when I try to import.

That error message you are getting sounds like you need to rename the file so your player can import it.

Try naming your files as either:

TELESAVE.bin or TelBook.bin

See if that works. You will also need to try the different TelBook versions too to create the .bin file to find the right one that your player can read and import.

Try that and let me know if that works or not.
