the player has got hung and now refuses to play

[color=#]Hi all!

I have been using a 512mb mp4 player for some time now, i formatted the player and the memory was reduced to 247mb and i was ok with that,
i downloaded the full capacity of the memory and the player was playing absolutely fine, i deleted a couple of songs and then downloaded some video clips after converting them into AMV formats, the player was yet playing absoloutely fine, but now suddenly the player has got hung and it refuses to start, even when i connect the player to the comp thru USB, the comp is not recognising the player????

why has the player suddenly got hung?
please help me with a solution asap

everytime i think we all are facing new problems with these players

regards

deepuaga,

"Refuse to start", you mean when you try to turn it on, nothing comes up on your screen? Or do u something? Like "loading" or "initialising" messages?

What have you tried so far to fix this problem? Turning it off and on again?

thanks for replying Binh!

the player once switched "ON", the screen switcehs on and only the sand machine comes on the screen, the player does not go beyond the sand machine,
that means the machine is not initializing and moving on to the menu as the player usually does
have tried to switch on and off the palyer a couple of times but the same problem is occuring again and agin

kindly suggest what should be done

thanks and regards

techkrazy,

Sounds like a faulty or dodgy flash memory chip you have in your player. For starters, formatting the player and having the memory reduced is not a good start either.

Have a look at this post: http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=33. There is a link to the s1mp3.org site which outlines steps to fixing a dead player, which to me, this sounds like.

Hope this helps and good luck with it.
I haven't gone through the process myself luckily.
