Battery Help Needed

Im having trouble working out how to charge me nano like player, i had it switced on plugged into the pc from 2pm till 8 am this morning, but as soon as i switch the player on it just loads up then flashes LOW BATTERY and turns it self off.

Am i charging it right, does the player need to be on or off when charging?

Does it look like ive got a broken nano copy?

Thanks

James

Re: Battery Help Needed

Hi James,

Some questoins for your:

1. Have you tried charging it using the wall charger instead? Does that work?

2. Was your computer on while you left it charging all night? Try charging it through the USB WHILE the computer is on for about 1-2 hrs and see what happens. That should give you player enough time to charge.

Try those as that will help to determine whether it's a faulty battery, usb charger, or usb connector on your player.

I had it charging in the wall for a while, but i didnt have a proper connector for it. Living in england its 3 pin not 2 pin.

The light is staying constanly on when its charing, is that right? there is a little battery filling up on the botton right hand side but then it was doing that for over 12 hours last night.

No my pc wasnt on, well it was on at the plug but not switced on.

O also when it is plugged into the pc i can run the mp3 player, so power must be getting through to it, but doesnt seem to be holding it.

Does the player need to be switched on or off for it to charge?

Thanks Again

ftgfc,

Is your player still under warranty? It sounds like a dead battery to be honest. All my players I have, I just plug it straight into the USB port of my computer and it charges it up.

I ALWAYS leave the [on/off] switch to the [ON] position though. If I switch it to off, I loose the time settings. I just hold down on the [play/pause] button to turn it on/off.
