Asking for a quick guide....
 

Hello!
I would like to know in quick steps how to:
- open firmware to edit menu images (i ahve it already the firmware.bat file in the cd which comes with my player)
- what can I do with them (i mean, which thing do I have to mantain (Kb, format, number of colors)
- how to create again the bat file
- what to do if something goes wrong

i have to say that i have tried to open the bat file from the cd using s1fwx.exe and i haven't find any bmp files

u should have ur firmware as a .bin file.
then u can open it with this little tool.

with it u can view all the images inside ur firmware.
best way to edit them.
is extract the images,
then edit them.
and exchange the old image with the edited once.
(all possible with this tool)

then u just need 2 upload the firmware again.
no bat needed.
but if u extract ur firmware, dont forget 2 repair it with the repair.bat
