Purchased Mp3-4 player on Trademe in NZ -Need steps HELP!

I have a quicktime file and window movie maker footage as I have used editing tool. I have a booklet but it doesnt tell me how to do the steps to convert the files from one type to AMV effectively, and so when I tried a few times, I got locked up and program shut down so I need logical steps-instructions so I can use the tool effectively that was on my lil disk with the player. I have managed to be able to put songs on the thing easily and still dont know how to figure out the lyrics feature...but right now am most concerned with the mp4 aspect cuz I spent lots for the dang thing and want it to do what was promised. I see there are lots of issues with these Chinese Mp3-4 players and so I am very grateful to find you tonite here as well as the backup software in the event mine is defective.

I know this request will help others looking for instructional steps so they can convert their files too. I sincerely appreciate your help HUGELY!!

Also Is there somewhere where I can read up on some of this stuff as well regards how to convert tv shows, like that is what the specs told me and I am wondering how the heck does one do that?

Thank you.

Cheers,

Sunny in NZ

This site is awesome. Thanks guys!!!!

I read over the messages here and they helped me to download samples and I reloaded my converter, then converted a wmv file to AMV, YAY! I also downloaded the zip software and a movie and both went on my player...movement forward.

 However; I cant get my quicktime to convert...and it should...it says on the disk text file: When convert Real Media, Quick Time, MPEG2 format file, please install related DirectShow filter. What does that mean?

 Also - Can anyone help me with the lyric file feature? These couple of obstacles resolved...and onward I go to enjoy my lil mp3-4 player!!!

Thanks,

Sunny

Hi Sunny,

Welcome fellow Kiwi :D.
I also sell on TradeMe as well ;).

To answer your question, have a look at this post: http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic...ight=quicktime

Try converting your Quicktime files if you still can't get it to convert using the AMV Convert Tool still after following that post.

You can use: RAD Video Tools (video file converter)

Let me know how u get on.

Hi Binh,

I have downloaded all but the pack for conversion purposes, did download 4.0 converter and Quicktimes still did not convert...so suppose need pack?

Downloaded Winamp/LRC Editor and gUSB plugin

Awaiting next steps regards viewing lyrics on player and being able to take lyrics from other sources to edit as I prefer..Way kewl!

Also suggested seller on Trademe post this website in his description box for all the disgruntled people unhappy with their players because many are not knowing how to work thru the issues thru or have access to the tools to get the best use out of their players...You guys rock!!! Thanks for being here and providing these resources & tools!! Good on ya!

Cheers,

Sunny

Downloaded pack and so am ready for help to proceed...regards conversion process with that tool

I looked at lyrics guide and was overwhelmed, tried to open the song in new player and it looked so complicated...saved song file but didnt get the lyric thing happening...saw the time info oh what a time consuming project...are there mp3 lyrics already made for free to download to player instead? This does not seem a worthy project due to time and energy investment unless you are hyped up to make your own lyrics for players...not a high priority for most people. I got file to play and pasted lyrics in box...then when I tried next step it all went like custard. Took a break.

Sunny 'peace out!'

Hey Binh....1 more note,

Holy Canoli...

When I downloaded the darn Winamp player it converted all my windows media song library files to that system and no way do I want that...I easily grab those to download onto my player, my main objective for having the player.

So I dont dare open that Winamp system again without knowing how to protect my files...(Did that happen because it became my default player or what? and if so where is the setting to change that?...I had to do a system restore to earlier this am to retrieve my windows media files to their origanal wave files, whew! Funny thing is when I view the props they still say winamp files?? but each song in MY Music visually looks like my old files.

I look forward to some clarity and help about this before moving forward. Thanks Binh!

Sunny,

My suggestion is for you to sit down and spend alittle more time with the player to familise yourself with it.

With regards to your original post, you need to install the SLD Codec Pack then try converting to AMV. If that doesn't work, then use the RAD Tool to convert your Quicktime files to an AVI instead.

You've put a number of different problems in your previous post, I suggest create a new topic for each. But before hand, I would suggest you spend alittle time with the player firstly to familise yourself with it. Read up in the Knowledge Base, it might help you as well.
