Default player on or off charging


I hav a ipod nano generic player 500 meg. it has the on off switch on top. i read on the instruc booklet to turn player off when recharging, for player to last longer. when i do this i can,t tell if it is recharging or not? does it mater if its on or off?

kaz,

When you say "turn off" do u mean use the [on/off] switch? I don't use the [on/off] switch as it wipes out my time settings as wel as my screensaver and sleep timer settings.

I've always had my player switched to [ON] while charging through the USB.

Hey Kaz,

you have to keep that small switch on top of the player in on mode,otherwaise the player wont charge!!!

hmm... i always shut down totaly (switch stans at off)

I got a DC charger that has a green lamp on it and it turn on aslong as it charges...And that has worked for me...

So it might be diffrent firmware mate..

Only downside about using the [on/off] switch is that you loose your clock and sleep settings. Have you noticed that? The clock settings is important as without it, the suspend and sleep options won't work.
