Memory

I have one of the IPOD clones. In the menu when I go to music, Voice, Movie, picture Phone book and text it says no files, but when I go to voice record it says "overflow". When I connect VIA usb it shows the availible memory at 0 but there are no files on it. What can I do?

What does it say when you plug it into another computer instead? Just want to make sure it's not a Window$ problem.
