Default MVS format needed for MP4 player

I have received an mp3/mp4 player but am having some problems. The disk for the conversion software is a program to convert to AMV. It should be MVS software.

The disk I received freezes up the computer each time I try to install program so I found program called AMV Video Convert Tool on the Net but it does NOT allow me to convert to MVS only AMV.

My player will not play AMV (I have tried photos and movies). I am able to convert movies and JPEG to AMV but the player can not find them.

I found a program called MVS Convert2.00 on the Net to convert to MVS and the videos work GREAT on the player but the program cannot convert JPEG to MVS, only video files

Please help.

CeePee1, I have not heard of MVS format but have heard of SMV. Version 2.2 can be found in the download section under Tools. These programs are only for converting video not pictures or photos. Your play should be able to show images in JPG format without conversion.

Video format aside you should still be able to view .jpg pictures without conversion.

"* Convert JPEG, GIF, SWF Picture Files or else to PIC Files to be
viewed by MVS (Software Included)"

This same text appears about my player as well but it views .jpg fine. I think most of the traders just cut and paste the same specs.

ceepee1,

AMV Convert tool is for .amv files, it won't conver to MVS files. I too haven't heard of a .mvs video file.

If you can convert your video files to .mvs using your tool, then that's great. You shouldn't need to convert your .jpg photos to .mvs though. There should be a "photo" or "picture" item in the main menu?????

Would love to know more about your player though as it's the first I've seen that uses .MVS files......

Have tried .jpg, .jpeg, .gif and .bmp.
The bitmap was the only file it found and even though the bitmat is small it was still too large to appear on the screen.

Bugger.

Any suggestions (apart from purchasing another player) would be appreciated.

Regards,
Ceepee

ceepee

I do have one player that need converting software to convert a .jpg file to .jpg (again) so it can be played on the player. Sounds abit crazy but it's true.

My best bet is to try all the software that is included in the cd firstly as it looks like yours is a new 'breed' of players which haven't been talked about here. Maybe you can upload some of the tools to the site as well?

I have tried several programs to convert jpg to jpg, gif, bmp and vice versa etc etc. No go.

The sellers only refers me back to the disk sent with the player (which only contained USB driver and AMV_Convert). I have informed them that after converting videos to amv the player stiill cannot find them.

Maybe someone with more knowledge could contact seller Uxcell and find some more details about MVS video and photo player.

Will upload tool to convert to MVS

(Problem uploading - The page you are looking for is currently unavailable)

ceepee,

re problem uploading, if you have uploaded the file and find you can not access the file, it is because admin has to approve it before release it should not take long.

re your pictures, try storing them straight onto the player not in a folder and try storing them in a folder called Pictures some players look in specific locations for files.

You mentioned you found a MVS converter on the net could you leave a link to the download page.

Tried folders call Picture/Pictures/Photos/Graphics containing several formats of pix in several different sizes of each but no luck. Also copied straight to player and same lack of results. Starting to regret not buying a straight forward mp3 player. :x
