 I fell too in the memory trap.

ops:
My nano clone MP4 player has the Samsung K9F1G08UOM (128MB) memory chip.
Board is marked MP:693C-SL
software-
SC85051A 2006/03/13
ACT_V3.5.35
To all the memory experts-
1. After formating with MP4 player utilities 3.68 the available memory is only 108.7MB. From all the postings here it looks that 20MB for the firmware is way too much.
Can anyone advise how to increase the available data space to be closer to the max 128MB?
2. Can I replace the memory chip to a 4Mbit [=512MByte] chip? Does the f/w supports it?
Where to buy & fair price?
Thank for the responses, Shimon
BTW, I wanted to add the pics of the open player, memory location, board ID etc, but I learned that to add a pic I need to store it on the web. PLS give me a site where I can put these.
